What Does a Child With ADD/ADHD Look Like ?
There are lots of descriptive words that are frequently used:
- can’t sit still
- impulsive
- distractible, distracting
- inattentive
- disregards rules
- doesn’t seem to learn from mistakes
- “BIG” problems at school
- cause stress in families
- few friends – bugs others
- punishments seem ineffective
- noncompliant
- mood swings
- few inhibitions
They are often accused of being lazy, disobedient, willful, immature, irresponsible, etc.
